Majority want to see cabinet reshuffle: Poll | Bangkok Post: news

A majority of people said they agree to a cabinet reshuffle, provided that it occurs at an appropriate time, according to the result of an opinion survey by the National Institute of Development Administration, or Nida Poll. The poll was conducted on July 19-20 on 1,250 people aged 18 and above of various level of education and occupations throughout the country. Most or 45.12% of those who want to see a cabinet reshuffle said the present cabinet has underperformed; 30.80% said some cabinet ministers are not qualified for their jobs; 28.56% said some ministers are inexperienced; 28.08% said a reshuffle will help improve the government's image; and, 15.84% said a reshuffle will allow a rotation of work among cabinet ministers. The first five ministries which the respondents said they want to see changes are the Agricultural and Cooperatives Ministry (18.40%), the Commerce Ministry (9.04%), the Education Ministry (9.04%), the Interior Ministry (6.88%) and the Finance Ministry (5.28%).
